How I prepared for my final round interview with Datadog [4.0/5.0] for a senior product manager

2 months after Datadog halted my interview process, a different recruiter reached out to me. All of my prep notes and interview notes.

In my previous story, I talked about how I got an interview with Datadog through a referral and my honest review about the interview process and interviews themselves.

Well, after about 3 months, I got an email from a different recruiter from Datadog for a product manager role. I initially thought that the position had opened up but it was because the recruiter found my application in their system and it matched up with what she was looking for. This is the email below when she reached out to me.

As you can see, she knew that a recruiter reached out to me in the past but wasn’t aware that I had already passed the recruiter screening and the first round. I didn’t want to redo the process again so I told her if I could skip right into the final rounds. She verified what I was saying with the other recruiter and they agreed to move me forward. We also discussed about what roles were currently open at the time and what my interests were aligned to.
